Dr John Ekure is the Founder and Chief Surgeon of Kumi Orthopaedic Center, a super specialized Hospital in Kumi Municipality in Eastern Uganda.

Dr Ekure studied at Teso College Aloet and St Peters College Tororo for his O’ level and A’ level respectively. At Makerere University Kampala, Uganda, he trained as a medical doctor and Orthopaedic Surgeon. He has had many fellowships and trainings in Trauma, Paediatric Orthopaedics and arthroplasty and various fields of Orthopaedic Surgery in several institutions in South Africa, Switzerland, Canada and the USA.
